It’s quite simple really.

I want to do want I am passionate about.

What is that?

I am passionate about writing.

I am passionate about standing up to inequality.

I am passionate about creating inclusive conversation.

I am passionate about helping people to grow and succeed.

I have to be honest with you all – it’s not always going to be butterflies and rainbows around here.

Sometimes bad things happen in the world. There is no one in the world who has the power to stop that from happening.

Anyone who tells you otherwise is lying.

The only thing that we have power over is ourselves.

You can not control what other people do or what they say. You can only control how you react to the situations you find yourself in.

No one is perfect and nor should we ever ask anyone to be.

Having said that – you may at times feel that my approach is not 100% kind. Here ‘s why.

Kindness should not be mistaken for weakness. There is nothing kind about being passive or silent. I will use my voice to speak for people who have had their voice deemed irrelevant or removed completely- whoever they are and whatever they do.

If that’s a problem for you – that’s okay.

You won’t her the cliche “If you don’t like it then don’t read it” catch phrase around here.

In fact, I encourage you to enter the conversation. It has never been more important for us to talk to one another.

There is so much friction in the world at the moment between people who disagree. I aim to change that.

Most of the closest people to me in my life disagree with me on at least one serious issue. Whether it be political, personal or something else.

It’s the inclusion of these people in my life that make my life so wonderful.

These people have helped to shape me in ways people who agree with me never could.

If you're only being kind to people you like then you're not very kind.
